TEACHING METHODS

Montessori, P.T.M. Kemas.
Based on 4M

Learning for young children is a rewarding and enjoyable experience in which they explore, investigate, discover, create, practice, rehearse, repeat, revise, and consolidate their developing knowledge, skills and attitudes. During the foundation stage, many of these aspects of learning are brought together effectively through learning and talking

4R (4M)

Writing is taught the Montessori way.  Kindergarten worksheets are given to guide pupils both in class as well as in simple home exercises

Children are encouraged and motivated to learn through experiences of discovery, experimentation and reflection - working individually, in small groups and in whole class groups. Our programme avoids rote-learning, formal home-work and colouring-in.

ART & CRAFT

All material pertaining to Art and Craft will be provided

MUSIC/MOVEMENT

Enjoyment via music and movement is also a part of the curiculum

Well-planned play, both indoors and outdoors, is a key way in which young children learn with enjoyment and challenge.

Through play, children can:
  • explore learning experiences that help them make sense of their world
  • practice and build up ideas, concepts and skills
  • learn control, self-regulation and understand the need for certain rules
  • take risks and make mistakes
  • think creatively and imaginatively
  • communicate with others as they investigate and solve problems
